Husk

Felt is well-known for its thermal insulation properties that efficiently solves various types of problems. Husk is an unusual solution for the wine temperature: the felt container keeps wine chilled; just put the bottle from the refrigerator into Husk: the felt cover prevents the wine warming. The container is handmade by artisans of Tumar Art Group in the technique of wet felting.

Il feltro è ben noto per le sue proprietà di isolamento termico che risolvono in modo efficiente vari tipi di problemi. Husk è una soluzione insolita per la temperatura del vino: il contenitore in feltro mantiene il vino fresco; basta mettere la bottiglia dal frigorifero in Husk: la “cover” di feltro impedisce il riscaldamento del vino. Il contenitore è fatto a mano dagli artigiani di Tumar Art Group nella tecnica di infeltrimento bagnato.

Fungus

FUNGUS: Furniture design, presented to “FuoriSalone 2014” during the Exibition “Hands on Design” organized by Shiina+Nardi  Design. Produced by Slow Wood. Stool with solid beech wood structure and cloth padding. Seats available in various colours. The colorful padding makes Fungus a simple but fun piece of furniture.

FUNGUS: sgabello presentato al “FuoriSalone 2014” durante l’evento “Hands on Design” organizzato dallo studio Shiina+Nardi Design. Prodotto da Slow Wood. Sgabello con struttura in legno massello di faggio e imbottitura in stoffa. Seduta disponibile in varie colorazioni. L’imbottitura colorata rende Fungus un pezzo di arredamento semplice ma divertente.

Alveare

ALVEARE: Textile design applied to Et Voilà system, presented to “Salone del Mobile” 2013. Producted by Lago S.p.a. The hexagon is the basic form for the general geometry, and the result is a module consisting of these hexagonal cells repeated, where “full” and “empty” interwine, creating a complex structured texture, conceived on several levels: background, general design, fillings. The proposal consists of a plot that, although repeatable and seamless, changes at every step of the module thanks to the inclusion of “empty” segments which literally break the geometry of departure .

L’esagono è la forma di base per la geometria generale, e il risultato è un modulo costituito da queste celle esagonali ripetute, dove “pieno” e “vuoto” si uniscono, andando a costituire una texture dalla struttura complessa, ragionata su più livelli: background, disegno generale, riempimenti. La proposta è formata da una trama che, pur essendo ripetibile, cambia ad ogni passo del modulo grazie all’inserimento di parti “vuote” che spezzano letteralmente la geometria di partenza.

Organique

This glass has been designed specifically for Red Bull – The Red Italian Edition during the Red Bull Design Workshop @ Zero Design Festival.
“Organique was born with the idea of spotlighting the can, which in this case is contained entirely in the glass as if it was in a glass case. The glass can be equipped with a “cap”. The mouth was shaped in a vaguely triangular form respecting the ergonomics of the function. We also created a bull-shaped groove on the bottom of the glass, 2mm deep, bringing up the logo of Red Bull. In this way, when you finish the drink, the last drops colour with their unmistakable red the bull’s silhouette. Finally, we etched the glass with a translucent to convey a “frozen” effect suggesting the best way to enjoy the drink. “

RedBull Design Workshop

Questo bicchiere è stato disegnato appositamente per Red Bull – The Red Italian Edition durante il Red Bull Design Workshop @ Zero Design Festival.
“Organique nasce dall’idea di valorizzare in termini espositivi la lattina stessa, che in questo caso risulta contenuta per intero dal bicchiere come fosse in una teca. Il bicchiere può essere corredato da un “tappo”. Si è anche lavorato sull’imboccatura in modo tale da renderla inconfondibile dandole una forma organica vagamente triangolare rispettando l’ergonomicità della funzione. Abbiamo anche creato sul fondo del bicchiere una scanalatura profonda 2mm a forma di toro per richiamare il logo di Red Bull. In questo modo quando si finisce il drink, le ultime gocce della bevanda vanno a colorare, con il loro inconfondibile rosso, la sagoma del toro. Infine abbiamo anche dato una finitura superficiale satinata che conferisce al bicchiere un aspetto quasi “ghiacciato” per suggerire il modo migliore per assaporare la bevanda.”
